Baliguda: A get-together and district-level committee election program was held at the premises of Shiksha Niketan Institute in Baliguda, Kandhamal district, for newly appointed junior teachers of the district. All the newly appointed junior teachers attended the event, which featured a general meeting and a friendly gathering.

During the meeting, discussions were held on submitting a memorandum to the government demanding the removal of the contract-based appointment system for primary teachers and implementing regular appointments. It was also discussed that if needed, a peaceful protest (dharna) would be staged at PMG Square in Bhubaneswar.

In addition, there were deliberations on how to strengthen the education system by ensuring quality education in schools through various means such as sports, music, dance, and drama. The meeting was presided over by Joy Marathi Senapati, who addressed these points in detail.

By unanimous consent, the following members were elected:

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Baliguda Block President Deepak Kumar Mukhi.
