Nandahandi: A new petrol pump has been inaugurated within the premises of Nandahandi block headquarters, located in Dangarbheja village, under Nabarangpur district. Previously, the only petrol pump in the block was situated far from most other villages, causing inconvenience to the locals who had to rely on small shops selling petrol at higher prices.
Now, an Indian Oil petrol pump named Om Shubham Fuel Station has been officially opened on Wednesday at the block headquarters. Pump owner Parip Padma stated that locals will now be able to purchase petrol at the correct price. The inauguration ceremony was conducted by Padma’s father-in-law Sudhanshu Shekhar Tripathy and mother-in-law Shailabala.
Indian Oil Assistant Manager Rajendra Raul and Padma’s husband Sapan Tripathy were also present during the event.
With this new petrol tank facility in place, locals are relieved that they will now be able to access good quality fuel at fair prices, unlike before when petrol was sold in bottles at inflated rates.
