Burla,16th Aug 2025: The One-rupee Clinic run by Dr. Shankar Ramchandani, Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at VIMSAR, continues to set one milestone after another. In the past, the clinic had already crossed the mark of treating over one lakh patients. As of Wednesday, its one-taka ECG service alone has benefited 1,000 patients.
Earlier, Dr. Ramchandani had gained national recognition for offering various medical services for just one rupee — including medicines, physiotherapy, nebulization, and dental care. In addition, he has been providing costly medicines and financial assistance to patients with serious kidney ailments, cancer, and AIDS.
