New Daily Market Inaugurated in Baipariguda, Boosting Local Trade

Baipariguda: The long-awaited daily market in Baipariguda was inaugurated today in the premises of the library. The event saw the lighting of lamps and incense, marking the beginning of this new venture. Key officials present included Abhimanyu Kabi, Block Development Officer, Siddha Chaudhury, Tahsildar, E.I. Malik, Social Security Officer Karshik Padhi, Assistant Officer Purnima Barik, District Council Member Rajesh Mohuriya, Committee Member Manjulata Pattnaik, Sarpanch Surya Mani Nayak, ARI Shankar Mishra, and IIC Deepanjali Pradhan.

For years, Baipariguda lacked a designated space for the sale of drinking water, with vendors operating along roadsides, putting their lives at risk by conducting business near National Highways. Local Tahsildar Siddha Chaudhury highlighted the traffic issues and the potential for accidents caused by these road-side businesses. As a solution, local ARI officers and staff identified a new location for these vendors.

Under the efforts of the Tahsildar, the administration relocated both small and large businesses to the designated space near the library. The market will feature vendors selling drinking water, fish, and meat. The administration has issued directives for opening shops in this area and has facilitated the necessary infrastructure like stalls, roads, drinking water, and electricity.

The Baipariguda Panchayat has ensured the construction of pendis (sheds) for the vendors, along with amenities like drinking water, roads, and electricity. A penalty of ₹500 will be imposed on vendors operating on the National Highway, as confirmed by the Tahsildar.

The market will be operational daily, from morning until evening, with all vendors selling drinking water and related items at the newly designated site
