New Cyber Crime and Economic Offences Police Station Inaugurated in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda ,March, 11:In a major step towards combating digital crimes and ensuring the safety of citizens, a newly constructed Cyber Crime and Economic Offences Police Station building was inaugurated today in Jharsuguda.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah virtually inaugurated the facility in the presence of Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

As part of the initiative, 20 new cyber police stations were inaugurated simultaneously across 20 districts of the state, with Jharsuguda being one of them.

On this occasion, Jharsuguda District Collector Kunal Motiram Chavan and Superintendent of Police G.R. Raghavendra were physically present at the event.

With the establishment of this new police station, cases related to the rising incidents of cyber fraud and financial irregularities in the district can now be investigated and resolved more promptly and effectively.
