Nandapur, Jan 30: Netaji Jayanti was observed on Friday at the Nandapur Block headquarters in Koraput district, as well as at Thuba Netaji High School and the Kulabir Panchayat Office.
At the statue of Netaji located at the Block headquarters, members of the Netaji Prabhat Shakha of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), including Shankar Patra and Santosh Kumar Das, along with Durga Pattnaik, Rabindra Pangi, Lal Bahadur Choudhury, Harihar Behera, Umashankar Khadenga, and Harish Choudhury, offered floral tributes.
Nandapur BDO Durgaprasad Dora, former Block Chairman Gopal Krishna Bebarta, MP’s representative Gopal Matam, and Devendra Rout were among those present on the occasion.
At Thuba Netaji High School, students and staff paid floral tributes to Netaji’s statue under the supervision of Headmaster Jagadish Panda.
Similarly, at the statue of Netaji in front of the Kulabir Panchayat Office, intellectuals and public representatives led by Shashi Pattnaik offered floral garlands and paid homage, recalling the contributions and sacrifices of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
