Rayagada, Feb, 10: NCC girl cadets Pratibha Rani Das, K. Bhanu, and P. Mekhana of Rayagada Autonomous College, who successfully participated in the National Republic Day Camp–2026 held in the national capital, New Delhi, were given a grand welcome by the college authorities upon their return.

On this occasion, a felicitation ceremony was organized in the college premises. Principal Saraswati Ray congratulated the NCC cadets and said that by participating in a national-level programme in Delhi, they have brought pride to the college, the district, and the state.

She further stated that NCC helps in developing discipline, leadership qualities, patriotism, and a sense of social responsibility among students, and such achievements will inspire other students as well.

Among those present at the were PG Council Chairman P. Arun Kumar, T. Jyoti, Subrata Pradhan, Lieutenant Uday Naik, Ajay Rait, officials from the 2(O) Girls Battalion, Rayagada CTO K.K. Jani, Head of the Odia Department Tikeshwar Majhi, BJMC Department Head Smruti Dipali Samal, faculty members, and a large number of students, who extended their congratulations to the NCC cadets.

The cadets who participated in the Republic Day Camp–2026 shared their experiences of the camp, the Republic Day parade, parade rehearsals, and their interactions with cadets from different states of the country.
