Jharsuguda,Dec, 20: In Jharsuguda, under Kirmira Block, Naksapali Palli Panchayat, Bijaguda, blankets were distributed to poor and tribal communities in remote areas to protect them from the cold. The event was hosted by Dr. Purna Chandra Sahu, the State Founder of the National Human Rights Commission, with the presence of State Legal Advisor Ashok Kumar Mallik.
The distribution ceremony was conducted under the chairmanship of local leaders, and 70 individuals received blankets. Among the dignitaries present were Jharsuguda District Chairperson Dhananjay Kumar, Vice-Chairperson Laxman Tandia, Jharsuguda In-Charge Ravikumar Raut, Sambalpur District Vice-Chairperson Sameer Nag, District In-Charge Ashok Karali, Women Cell Chairperson Tapaswini Munda, and member Radheshyam Gardia.
The blankets were distributed to 70 people from the surrounding villages, including beneficiaries named Phul, Laxmi, Malati, Tularam, Kartik, Padari, Karami, Khatu, Mahargi, Baidehi, Jugunu, Sukmar, Sita, Nanaki, Basu, Sukh, Budhu, Gurubari, Yajnasini, Dwitīya, Manju, Prakash, Parameshwar, Mitu, Bishila, Ramesh, Malati, Kishore, Somya, Tula, Bhaj, Na?p, Prasadi, Savitri, and Sunita.
The beneficiaries warmly accepted the blankets and expressed their gratitude to the members of the Commission who distributed them.
