Sunabeda, 14th Nov 2025: A workshop was organized at Semiliguda College on the occasion of National Education Day, celebrated in honor of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, India’s first Education Minister.
The event featured Dr. Manoranjan Pradhan (OES–I), Head of the Department of Education, Berhampur University, as the chief guest. He delivered an insightful talk on the New Education Policy (NEP) and shared his views on modern and traditional education systems, the responsibilities of teachers, and the importance of training and professional development.
The college Principal, Dr. Jhansi Singh, presided over the program and gave the inaugural address. Students from the Department of Education presented thought-provoking speeches and discussions on various educational topics.
Among the faculty members present were Shubhranshu Sundar Das, Geeta Pattnayak, Debaraj Nayak, Sibasis Pattnayak, Niranjan Podh, Sripati Chittaranjan Das, Amita Dash, Jatsna Dash, Pinky Goyal, Pritish Behera, Asit Mishra, and Ramesh Mallik.
The successful organization of the program was coordinated by the efforts of faculty members Snigdha Pattnayak, Rasmita Sahu, Gauri Pattnayak, and Sarbeswar Pradhan, ensuring the event’s smooth and impactful execution.
