New Delhi, 12th Nov 2025: To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of India’s Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, special events will be held across the country. In Gujarat’s Narmada district, Unity Nagar, a grand parade and cultural festival will be organized as part of this year’s National Unity Day celebrations.
During the parade, CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces), along with state and central police forces, will showcase their skills, discipline, and valor. Female police officers and staff will also participate in the event.
The Guard of Honor, presented to the Prime Minister, will be led by a female officer. This year’s parade will feature CRPF personnel awarded the Shaurya Chakra and 16 BSF personnel who received the bravery medal.
Special attractions in the parade include:
- Indian breeds of BSF dogs
- Gujarat Police’s mounted cavalry
- Motorcycle stunt teams from Assam Police
- OT (Operational Task) units and mounted bands from SFF
In addition, NCC cadets and school bands will enhance the grandeur of the celebrations with their impressive performances.
To highlight the importance of unity in diversity, different states and centrally-administered regions will participate in the parade.
A cultural program organized by the Ministry of Culture will feature 900 artists performing Indian classical dance, reflecting the richness of India’s cultural heritage and national unity.
