Nabarangpur, Feb, 9:An abandoned woman was rescued from the Patramunda forest area near Forest Park. The woman had reportedly been lying there for many days without food and was in a very pitiable condition.
To initiate steps for her rescue, a person named Riaz Sharif contacted the Narishakti Group and the President of the District Bar Association as well as social worker Sirajuddin Ahmed. After receiving the information, Narishakti Group President Mrs. Swarnalata Pattnaik, members Sama Ahmed, Farha Begum, Sakila Begum, District Bar Association President Sirajuddin Ahmed, and Riazuddin Sharif reached the spot and began the rescue process. They also contacted Mrs. Rama Pattnaik, Program Officer of the One Stop Centre “Sakhi.”
The woman was later shifted to Nabarangpur District Headquarters Hospital by the One Stop Centre ambulance. After primary treatment, steps will be taken to place her in a suitable shelter, informed Mrs. Rama Pattnaik.
