Nandahandi: A large crowd of devotees gathered at Shiva temples across Nandahandi on the occasion of Mahashivaratri and Jagara festival. Temples in Patharlasa, Mentry, Dhandara, Dangarbheja, Dahana, Sagarmunda, Maliguda, Sindhiguda, Rangamatiguda, Paluguda, Jagannathpur, and Jabaguda witnessed a huge influx of worshippers.

Most Shaiva pilgrimage sites held regional theatrical performances as part of the night-long worship rituals.

At Nandahandi Colony Square, a newly constructed Shiva temple was inaugurated, and a 24-hour-long (Ashtaprahari) Naam Yajna was organized. A similar Ashtaprahari Naam Yajna was conducted at Shiva temple premises in Patharlasa and Mentry villages.

Among the devotees, Nabarangpur MLA Gaurishankar Majhi also visited various Shaiva shrines, offered prayers to Lord Mahadev, and participated in the Naam Yajna celebrations.
