Nabarangpur’s NCC Cadet Indira Nayak Earns National Recognition

Nabarangpur, 19th Sept 2025:  From the remote village of Dabugaon in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district, Junior Under Officer (JUO) Indira Nayak has brought immense pride to her district, state, and the entire NCC fraternity through her remarkable achievement at the national level.

Despite hailing from a humble background, Indira’s unwavering dedication, disciplined training, and relentless hard work led her to win a silver medal in shooting at the All India Thal Sainik Camp (AITSC) held at the DG NCC Camp in New Delhi — one of the most prestigious platforms where the best cadets from across India compete.

Indira’s journey is a shining example of resilience, focus, and self-belief. She has proven that no barrier is insurmountable when met with perseverance and purpose.

Her accomplishment is not just personal:

She has made her family, her community, and the 91 (Odisha) Battalion NCC immensely proud.
