Nabarangpur Hosts Awareness Rally and Health Camp Against Drug Abuse

Nabarangpur Under the supervision of the State Government’s Excise Department, a special awareness campaign titled “Aama Sankalpa – Nisha Nuhein, Jeevan” (“Our Pledge – Not Intoxication, But Life”) is being conducted across Nabarangpur district from May 31 to June 26 to raise awareness about the harmful consequences of consuming intoxicants and adulterated toxic drugs.

As part of this initiative, a special awareness rally was organized today from Mandei Padia to the Fire Station, featuring impactful slogans. Students from various high schools, Excise Department staff, and officials including Additional District Magistrate Bishwajit Barman, Sub-Collector Prakash Kumar Mishra, Excise Superintendent Prabhas Kumar Das, DIPRO Manoj Behera, DSWO Sudhanshu Patra, PA DCCO Ghasia Harijan, and many other departmental staff participated in the rally.

Following the rally, a blood donation and health camp was organized by the Excise Department at the local Mission Shakti conference hall. Officials and staff from the Excise Department as well as other departments participated in the blood donation. The Excise Superintendent Prabhas Kumar Das and Additional Executive Officer Dumani Nayak led by donating blood first, encouraging others to participate.

Additional District Magistrate Tapan Kumar Marakhutia, Bishwajit Barman, CDMO Dr. Santosh Panda, and Sub-Collector Prakash Kumar Mishra were also present. A total of 50 units of blood were collected. The health and blood donation camp was coordinated by doctors and staff from the Health Department.
