Dabugam, Feb, 21: At a public grievance hearing camp held at Dabugam Panchayat Conference Hall in Nabarangpur district, the program was jointly chaired by District Collector Maheswar Swain and Superintendent of Police M. Sandip Sampad.
Also present at the camp were DFO Subhendu Prasad Behera, Sub-Collector of Nabarangpur Prakash Kumar Mishra, Additional Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Jadumani Naik, BDO Samir Patra, and other district-level departmental officers.
During the hearing, farmers raised complaints regarding paddy procurement at the mandis — specifically that paddy was not being lifted on time and that deductions of 5 to 7 kilograms were being made during weighing and cleaning. These complaints were submitted by the Dabugam Farmers’ Organization.
A total of 37 applicants submitted grievance petitions at the camp. Out of these, 15 were related to individual problems and 22 concerned village or community-level issues.
From the Social Security Department, identified persons with disabilities were provided with 3 tricycles and 1 wheelchair. Approval was also granted to provide artificial limbs to 3 differently-abled persons who had lost limbs due to various reasons. Additionally, steps were taken to send 4 injured and disabled patients to advanced rehabilitation centers for better physical therapy, pain relief, and treatment.
