Nabarangpur: The Nabarangpur District Education Department has been honored with a prestigious award for its exemplary service during the State Award Ceremony organized by the Bharat Scouts and Guides (Odisha) at the Raj Bhavan premises in Bhubaneswar. Nabarangpur secured the first position at the state level and was felicitated by the Governor.
For the year 2024, Nabarangpur district ranked first across Odisha for its outstanding Scout and Guide activities. Representing the district education department, Sports Inspector Prabhat Pattnayak, Scout Commissioner Pabitra Haldhar, Headmistress of Panchayat High School in Jharigaon Rohini Tapaswini Hajari, and Guide Captain of Bapuji High School in Tentulikhunti Gyanjyoti Mohanty received the award.
The event was held on Friday at the Raj Bhavan premises with Governor Haribabu Kambhampati as the chief guest. The Minister for School and Mass Education Nityananda Gond and Higher Education Minister Suraj Suryavanshi were present as distinguished guests.
The success of Nabarangpur is attributed to the leadership and supervision of District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu and Additional District Education Officer Dr. Reshamlal Nayak, along with the efforts of the entire Scout and Guide team. The achievement has drawn praise from various quarters.
