Nabarangpur Celebrates District-Level Tribal Pride Day; New Eklavya Residential School Inaugurated

Nabarangpur, 18th Nov 2025:  The district-level Tribal Pride Day was celebrated today at Dabugaon, Nabarangpur District. The event was attended by Lok Sabha MP Balabhadra Majhi as the chief guest, while Rajya Sabha MP Majibulla Khan, MLA Gauri Shankar Majhi, Manohar Randhari, and Zilla Parishad Chairman Motiram Nayak participated as honored guests.

On this occasion, speakers recalled the glorious legacy of Birsa Munda and shared opinions on various public welfare schemes aimed at tribal communities.

A blood donation camp was organized in connection with the Tribal Pride Day. Additionally, a development exhibition was held with coordination from various district departments.

In honor of the occasion, three roads in Umarkot, Jharigaon, and Nabarangpur have been named after Birsa Munda, tribal freedom fighter Ravi Singh Majhi, and martyr Lakshman Nayak.

Furthermore, as part of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Birsa Munda, the newly constructed Eklavya Residential School was inaugurated today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through a virtual medium.
