Nabarangapur, Dec, 15:   The grand festival celebrating art, literature, culture, and heritage of Nabarangapur  district, Chaiti Nabarangapur Lok Mahotsav 2025, will commence today. This year, the festival will be held at Agni Pur Panchayat from December 12 to 14. Alongside cultural programs, the Pallishree Mela will be organized from 12th to 16th December.

On the first day, the inauguration ceremony of the festival will be graced by Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Transport, Steel and Mines, Shri Bibhuti Bhusan Jana, along with distinguished guests including:

Cabinet Minister, School & Mass Education Department, Social Security & Empowerment, Scheduled Tribes & Scheduled Castes Development, Minority Welfare & Backward Classes Welfare Minister Shri Nityananda Gand,

Lok Sabha MP from Nabarangapur Shri I. Balabhadra Majhi,

Rajya Sabha MP, Milubula Khan,

Nabarangapur  MLA Gauri Shankar Majhi,

Dabuga MLA Manohar Randhari,

Jharigaon MLA Narsingh Bhatra,

District Council Chairman Moti Ram Nayak.

On the second day, the Chief Guest will be South Odisha Revenue Commissioner (IAS) Shri Sangram Kesari Mahapatra, with other distinguished guests including:

Executive Director, Odisha State Disaster Management Authority, Dr. Kamal Lochan Mishra,

Shri Subrat Mahanti, O.S.J.S. District & Dourajjj Navarangpur,

Navarangpur Superintendent of Police, Sandip Sampat,

Additional District Collector (Revenue) Vishwajit Chandra Barman,

Additional District Collector (General) Tapan Kumar Khuntia,

Chief Development & Executive Officer, District Council, Biranchi Narayan Darowan,

Sub-Collector Prakash Kumar Mishra.

On the third and concluding day, the Chief Guest will be Minister of Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water & Rural Development, Odisha Government, Shri Ravi Narayan Nayak, along with the previously mentioned distinguished guests and representatives.

This year, a total of 400 stalls will be set up in the festival grounds:

90 departmental stalls,

150 for Pallishree Mela,

110 commercial stalls,

50 for others.

The festival is organized under the chairmanship of Navarangpur District Collector and President of District Cultural Council, Dr. Maheshwar Swain, with religious ceremonies conducted by priests.

During the first day, Navarangpur Superintendent of Police Sandip Sampat will oversee security and traffic arrangements. CCTV cameras have been installed at various points in the festival grounds to ensure safety.

This year, artists from the district, the state, and other states will perform cultural programs, including:

Odissi dance, DulDuli, Sailodi Jamsa dance,

Santhali dance, Ghumura dance, Duruwa, Sing Bala dance, Kutia and other folk dances.

For the convenience of the public, water tanks have been arranged for drinking water, and toilets have been provided for men and women.
