Koraput, 18th July 2025,: The country’s development largely depends on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), said Union Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje while participating in a one-day awareness camp today. The event, organized by the Ministry of MSME at Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital, targeted six backward districts.
The Minister first inaugurated a handicrafts and cottage industry fair, and later addressed the gathering. She emphasized that the SC-ST Hub and MSME Ministry aim to make every individual self-reliant, contributing to the development of their district, state, and the nation as a whole.
She encouraged people to establish cottage industries at home and shift from job-seeking to job creation. She advised individuals to register with the MSME Department, highlighting that 6.57 crore youth have already registered nationwide, of which 28 crore people have benefited.
To ensure progress in undivided Koraput district and the five other backward districts, she said awareness and training would be provided to establish industries based on local raw materials.
