Dabugaon, Dec, 22: The MP Sports Festival has commenced in Dabugaon. Today, after a prayer ceremony near Ma’ Thakurani, athletes participated in a torch procession through the town.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Block Chairperson Bina Majhi, MP representative Somnath Pujari, senior lawyer Jayant Kumar Mayo, Rajendra Bishoyi, BJP senior leader J. Rajashekhar Rao, Congress president G. Sairaju, BJD leader Tapa Rao, and Dabugaon Mandal President M.A.P. Manoj Patra and G. Kiran, along with students from various institutions who joined the procession.
After reaching Bhairav Mahavidyalaya, Padia, the torch procession marked the official beginning of the sports festival. The festival is scheduled to continue for two days, according to announcements.
The event’s management was supported by BSSW members Yatin Panigrahi, PEO Padmanabh Bhalu, WO Aditya Narayan Rath, and other block-level employees who were present to assist in organizing and overseeing the festival.
