Kotpad: A monthly meeting of the sarpanches was held at Chhatarla Panchayat under Kotpad Block. The meeting was presided over by Deb Majhi, the current chairperson of the sarpanch forum.
During the session, discussions centered around the overall development of all panchayats in Kotpad block and effective dissemination of government schemes among the residents. Special emphasis was given on ensuring ration cards and old-age pensions are distributed to all eligible beneficiaries. Other key topics included the development of roads, drinking water facilities, and housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in remote villages.
All government employees of the Kotpad Block Office, especially junior engineers, were urged to extend their full cooperation and guidance to the sarpanches, providing proper understanding of processes and giving due importance to their leadership.
The need for unity and mutual support among all sarpanches of the block was also emphasized.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Chhatarla Panchayat Sarpanch Trinath Majhi, followed by a friendly interaction among participants.
