Monsoon Withdrawal from Odisha to Begin Soon

Bhubaneswar, 15th Oct 2025:  From Monday, the southwest monsoon will begin withdrawing from Odisha. Currently, the monsoon withdrawal line is moving through Varanasi, Jabalpur, Akola, Ahilyanagar, and Alibag.

Within the next 24 hours, the monsoon is expected to completely retreat from Odisha, as well as remaining parts of West Bengal, Sikkim, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh.

According to the Regional Meteorological Centre, the conditions will become favorable for the complete withdrawal of the monsoon from Northeast India over the next 2 to 3 days.

There will not be any significant change in the minimum temperature over the next 6 to 7 days.

Until 15th October, various districts of southern Odisha may experience thunderstorms and lightning, with wind speeds of 30 to 40 km/h, as per the weather forecast.
