Jharigaon, 10th Sept 2025: A mobile sapling distribution vehicle was officially inaugurated today at the office premises of the Forest Range Officer in Jharigaon block headquarters, located in the Nabarangpur district.
Present during the auspicious event were Jharigaon MLA Narsingh Uttara, MP Representative Chandrabhanu Nayak, senior BJP worker Giri Pande, Prafulla Pradhani, along with many BJP workers and dignitaries. From the Forest Department, Jharigaon Forest Range Officer Gobinda Chandra Nayak, A.K. Sahu, Forest Guards G.P. Mohanty, Raja Mandal, Krushna Bishoyi, and other OWL and Paragard staff were also in attendance.
It was announced that in honor of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 74th birthday, a resolution was taken to plant 1.7 million saplings across Odisha. As part of this campaign, each district, block, and panchayat has been directed to carry out sapling plantation activities.
In this context, the mobile sapling distribution vehicle was flagged off in front of the Forest Department office in Jharigaon block headquarters. The vehicle will be responsible for distributing saplings to each panchayat within the block.
It was informed that a total of 22,100 saplings will be planted across Jharigaon and Chandahandi blocks, with each panchayat receiving 500 saplings for plantation.
