MLA’s Efforts Bear Fruit: Notification Issued for Four Rural Roads Under CM’s Road Scheme

Rajnagar: Under the Chief Minister’s Road Scheme, 16.100 kilometers of roads will be constructed in the Rajnagar constituency. The construction of four rural roads will be undertaken with an allocation of ₹25.277 crore. Additionally, a bridge under the Setu Bandhan Yojana will be built at Srirampur-Palpatna.

MLA Dhruva Sahu had written to the Rural Development Department and the Chief Minister, requesting the construction of roads and bridges. Due to his successful efforts, a notification has been issued for these projects. On the 18th of this month, the Rural Development Department released a notification stating that 75 roads across the state would be constructed under the Chief Minister’s Road Scheme, including the four roads in Rajnagar.

Details of the Four Roads in Rajnagar Constituency:

1. Sanabada Gopalpur to Kusailo (5 km) – Rs 7.85 crore

2. Rajnagar to Satabhaya (5.6 km) – Rs 8.792 crore

3. Madanpur to Balabhadrapur (3 km) –Rs 4.71 crore

4. Nimapur to Shasan (2.5 km) – Rs 3.925 crore

Srirampur-Palpatna Bridge Under Setu Bandhan Yojana

Under the Setu Bandhan Yojana, 87 bridges will be constructed across the state. Among them, a 380-meter-long bridge will be built over the Brahmani River, connecting Srirampur to Palpatna in the Rajnagar constituency.

The residents of Rajnagar and Pattamundai had been demanding these roads and bridges for a long time. Following the notification issued by the Rural Development Department, there is a wave of happiness among the locals.
