Nandapur, Jan, 19: Koraput Zilla Parishad President and Pattangi MLA Ramchandra Kadam visited the Raniduduma tourist spot, located in the block headquarters area of Nandapur, on Sunday to review tourism development.
He was accompanied by Nandapur BDO Durgaprasad Dora, IIC Gopinath Pangi, Zilla Parishad Vice-Chairperson Gopal Matam, Sheikh Gapur, Secretary Kamesh Kamudi, Samuel Dalapati, Mamata Panda, forest guard representatives, Zilla Parishad member Nilambar Hansa, Bijayalakshmi Patnaik, Bhagaban Khara, former sarpanch Keshab Khara, and members of the Eco-Tourism Council women’s self-help group.
Officials briefed the MLA about the development works already undertaken by the Forest Department and the Tourism Council in the Raniduduma परिसर, as well as the additional infrastructure required.
The MLA also held discussions with women self-help group members.
Members of the Nandapur Tourism Development Council requested improvement of the poor condition of the approach road to Raniduduma, construction of a picnic spot, establishment of a vending zone, and facilities such as toilets, drinking water, and shelters.
MLA Ramchandra Kadam assured that these works would be taken up in the coming days using funds from the MLA Local Area Development Fund, Block and District funds, and allocations from the Tourism Department and Tourism Development Council.
