MLA Ramchandra Kadam Urges Tourism Status for Three Caves and Waterfall in Nandapur

Nandapur: During a district-level public grievance camp held at the Nandapur Block Office, Koraput District Collector V. Kirthi Vasan met with Pottangi MLA Ramchandra Kadam, who submitted a proposal letter containing two key demands.

In proposal letter number 111/CLP/25, the MLA requested identification and expansion of the Nandapur Rajpath (royal road) in Koraput district. The proposal suggested road construction via Rukubatha–Darengaba–Raniduduma–Nandapur Rajpath–Bahari Pada connecting to Nandapur College through either the Rural Development (RD) or Works Department.

In a second letter numbered 112/CLP/25, the MLA demanded tourism recognition and development for:

Mayur Jholia Waterfall (Golur Panchayat),

Paruamaligumpha Cave (Kasandi Panchayat),

Raj Gumpha Cave (Panthulung Panchayat), and

Hatigumpha Cave (Hatibari Panchayat) in the Nandapur Block area.

The District Collector instructed Koraput CDO Benudhar Sabar, IAS Probationer Santosh Patra, Nandapur BDO Durga Prasad Dora, and officials from the RD and Works Departments to prepare a necessary action report regarding the proposals submitted by the MLA.

Also present at the meeting were Nandapur Block MP Representative Gopal Matam and Block Congress President Debendra Khemundu.
