Jharigaon, Jan, 10:  BJP  (MLA) Narsingh Bhatra visited the family of a young boy named Bajrangi, who is suffering from a kidney disease, and extended support to them. The family, which has been struggling with this illness for the past four years, finally received words of assurance and hope.

It may be noted that Bajrangi belongs to Junapani village under Belgaon Gram Panchayat, Jharigaon Panchayat Samiti of Nabarangpur district. The boy’s father Satyaban lives with his family consisting of his elderly mother, wife, one son Bajrangi, and one daughter—a total of five members.

Satyaban is a daily wage laborer. Whatever little he earns through daily work is used to run the household. His beloved 8-year-old son Bajrangi has been suffering from a kidney-related disease. According to the family, they have taken the child for treatment to the district headquarters hospital as per their limited means.

Not for a month or a year, but for the last four long years, they have been taking the child repeatedly to Jharigaon, Umerkote, and even the Nabarangpur District Headquarters Hospital for treatment. As the days passed, the disease worsened. Currently, Bajrangi’s hands, legs, face, and body are swelling, and he is writhing in severe pain.

Seeing their child suffer so much, the parents are emotionally shattered. After learning that the illness is kidney-related, the entire family has been living in constant anxiety. They neither have sufficient strength nor resources, nor any land. Whatever little valuables they had were sold to fund Bajrangi’s treatment. Now completely exhausted financially, the family had been waiting and hoping for someone to come forward and help them.

At this critical moment, MLA Narsingh Bhatra suddenly reached the doorstep of this poor family and extended a helping hand. He encouraged Bajrangi and his family and assured them that he would coordinate at the district level to ensure the child receives necessary medical treatment. He also promised to remain in constant touch with the family.

Accordingly, he assured that after discussions with the Chief District Medical Officer of Nabarangpur, arrangements would be made to take Bajrangi to the district hospital and provide him with appropriate and advanced medical care.
