Malkangiri, 4th Aug 2025: Due to continuous rains, the road to Akarpalli village under Matapaka Panchayat in Malkangiri district has deteriorated badly, causing major inconvenience to residents. The poor condition of the road has disrupted transportation, essential services, and students’ access to school.
After receiving complaints from villagers, MLA Narsingha Madkami visited the site and conducted an inspection. He later held discussions with Malkangiri BDO Tapan Kumar Senapati regarding the issue.
Following the MLA’s instructions, BDO Senapati, Panchayat Executive Officer Subash Kabiraj, and the local Sarpanch visited Akarpalli and assessed the road conditions. After interacting with villagers, the MLA assured that a proposal of ₹6 lakh has been submitted for repair and reconstruction of the road.
He added that once the proposal is approved, work will begin soon.
