Kotpad,3rd Oct 2025: At the Dussehra ground in Kotpad, MLA Rupu Bhattarai inaugurated a large-scale street lighting project with his gracious hands.
Previously, there had been growing appreciation for the installation of such large street lights near various temples and mosques on special days. Continuing these efforts, the area around the street mandap and the Dussehra ground has now been beautifully illuminated and transformed.
In earlier years, due to lack of lighting at the Dussehra ground, Ravana Dahan (burning of Ravana effigy) used to be conducted in darkness. However, thanks to the MLA’s personal initiative and cooperation, the installation of these street lights has now resolved that issue.
This step has been widely appreciated by intellectuals and the local community.
During the inauguration event, MLA Rupu Bhattarai, along with Rameswar Jena, Bikash Pattnaik, and Dillip Das, as well as members of the Bharat Media Association, journalists, and all BJP workers, were present.
