Jeypore ,Dec, 29: Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari inaugurated the Revenue Inspector Training Institute at Jeypore in Koraput district. Addressing the gathering, the Minister said that the state government is continuously committed to providing services to the common people.
He stated that illegal land encroachment cannot take place without the involvement of Revenue Inspectors (RIs). Preventing illegal land grabbing is a major responsibility, and compared to Tahasildars, Revenue Inspectors must pay greater attention to this issue. The Minister emphasized that “your pen is your identity.” Just as salaries are credited to bank accounts, the results of one’s actions are credited to God’s account, he said, urging officials to work with honesty and integrity.
The Minister further informed that unused government quarters across the state are being taken back under government control and utilized for development purposes. With the establishment of the Revenue Inspector Training Institute at Jeypore, officials will no longer need to travel to other districts for training.
The training institute has 40 rooms, with separate accommodation for women trainees. A significant number of trainees can undergo training at the same time. For security purposes, the entire building has been placed under CCTV surveillance. The Minister also said that discussions would be held with officials to include the institute under various district-level development schemes.
On the occasion of the inauguration, Koraput MLA Raghuram Machh, Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatra, Koraput Collector Manoj Satyaban Mahajan, Jeypore Sub-Collector Akbaram Satya Reddy, Jeypore Tahasildar Sabyasachi Jena, Kundra Tahasildar Binod Nayak, Nandapur Tahasildar Debabrata Maharana, Jeypore Additional Tahasildar Chitta Ranjan Pattnaik, and Revenue Inspectors from various tahasils of the district were present.
On the same day, a one-day training camp for Revenue Inspectors from different tahasils of the district was also organized.
