Kothar, Jan, 03:  At Hasanabad Panchayat in Dhamanagar block, a river embankment project is being undertaken along the left bank of the Baitarani River, stretching from Hasanabad to Astak (1.5 crore rupees) and from both banks of the Kochila River—from Analdiha to Pangata Chhaka and from Pangata Chhaka to Lokanathpur (4 crore rupees). The total cost of the project to strengthen the river embankments is 5.50 crore rupees.
The Higher Education Minister, Suryabanshi Suraj, laid the foundation stone for this project today. The ceremony was attended by officials from the Water Resources Department, including Chief Engineer Hitesh Sahu and Engineer Bimal Behera, as well as the minister’s representative Ashok Puhan, MP’s representative Manoj Mallik, senior leader Chaturbhuj Nayak, Dhusuri Sarpanch Antaryami Pati, former Sarpanch Pradeep Mallik, youth leader Ashish Jena, senior leader Badal Bishwal, Women’s Front members Kavita Sahu and Namita Panda, former Sarpanch Sushant Nayak, Gobardhan Malik, Ramakant Kuamr, Deepak Behera, Radhasyam Samal, Jyoti Basantia, Sudarshan Raut, Ratikant Nayak, youth leader Harihar Sahu, Manoranjan Das, social worker Prabhat Panda, and social worker Ananta Sahu.

Since Dhusuri has received NSC (National Social Certificate) recognition, local residents expressed warm welcome and gratitude to Minister Suryabanshi Suraj on behalf of Dhusuri Panchayat, as well as the riverbank villages of Sahajipatna, Patrisaahi of Kothar Panchayat, Khopsahi, Bank Sahi, and Bamkura Panchayat’s Bhandaripada.

The event saw participation from Dhusuri Sarpanch Shri Pati, Phani Bhushan Mallik, Nirod Behera, Satyabrata Barik, Debananda Hota, Ramchandra Mishra, and social workers Ananta Sahu and Prabhat Panda, along with a large gathering of local residents.
