Umarkote: A laborer from Benra village under Umarkote block in Nabarangpur district has gone missing for the past four days after traveling to Visakhapatnam for migrant work, leaving his family in deep distress. The missing laborer is Ban Singh Harijan, aged 55.

According to his son Gurubaru Harijan, Ban Singh left home on Friday evening without informing anyone and reached Visakhapatnam by Saturday morning. It is reported that he was lured by a broker from Malkangiri and had joined a building construction site there as a laborer.

However, around 4 a.m. on Sunday morning, Ban Singh left the camp saying he was going to relieve himself but never returned. Despite extensive searching by fellow workers, no trace of Ban Singh was found. One of the laborers who had accompanied Ban Singh informed his son Gurubaru over the phone about his father’s disappearance.

Gurubaru has stated that he will be heading to Visakhapatnam tomorrow to search for his father.
