Kothar, Dec, 19: A memorial meeting was held on Wednesday to mark the first death anniversary of the late health worker Ramamani Ray, a resident of Saañlpur near Dhushuri in Dhamnagar Block.
Former Dhamnagar Block President Ashok Kumar Nayak, Dr. Sanjay Das, former Palasahi Panchayat Sarpanch Sushant Kumar Nayak, former committee member Ramesh Chandra Behera, Dhushuri Press Union President Santosh Das, editor Dipti Ranjan Nayak, treasurer Ratikant Nayak, poet Manoj Panda, retired AEO Anil Bal, Brajendra Mahanti, educator Kshirorod Bal, Sandeep Swain, Rajendra Palei, and Alok Nayak were among the prominent attendees.
They expressed that Ramamani was a friend of the poor and distressed in the local community. They recalled how, even after retirement, she visited homes and provided care to the sick.
Her family members, including husband Ram Kumar Ray, sons Ranjan Ray, Manoj Ray, Kalinga Ray, Rajat Ray, and daughter Mitarani Ray, spoke about her contributions and dedication to the family and society, sharing heartfelt memories of her life and service.
