Jeypore:Jan, 01:  A meeting and friendly get-together of the Odisha State Non-Gazetted Employees Coordination Committee, Koraput District Branch, was held at Jeypore. On the call of Shri Shashibhusan Dash, President of the Odisha State Non-Gazetted Employees Coordination Committee, Koraput District Branch, more than 300 employees working in various departments participated in the programme.
Initially, the state-level leaders and leaders from different districts were welcomed in a grand procession from near Rajanahar Raghunath Temple up to Jagat Janani Temple Square. The procession featured traditional Patua dance, music, and Koraput’s traditional Dhemsa dance. During the procession, employees raised slogans highlighting various justified demands of the Non-Gazetted Employees Coordination Committee.

Subsequently, a meeting was held at Sangam Kalyan Mandap, Jaynagar, Jeypore. Discussions were held on achieving various legitimate demands of the employees. The major demands included a ₹20 lakh health insurance cover for employees, restoration of the old pension scheme, compassionate appointments as per old rules, abolition of the single-cadre system, removal of the block grant system, abolition of contractual appointments, along with other demands.

State General Secretary Shri Rabindranath Pradhan clarified in the meeting that these demands have been submitted to the state government by the Odisha State Non-Gazetted Employees Coordination Committee and discussions have also been held with the government in this regard.

Among those present on the dais were Shri Lakshminarayan Sethi, Chairman of the Reception Committee; Shri Sunanda Kumar Chanunago, President of the Odisha State Non-Gazetted Employees Coordination Committee; Shri Rabindranath Pradhan, State General Secretary; Shri Kishore Chandra Sahu, former Secretary; Shri Narendra Nath Tripathy, former Vice President; Shri Rupa Besari Dalei, former State Executive Member; Shri Harihar Satapathy, District President; Shri Maheshwar Mishra, District Secretary; and Shri Shashibhusan Dash, President of the Koraput District Branch.

All the leaders addressed the gathering. At the end of the programme, Shri Shashibhusan Dash expressed his gratitude to everyone and formally concluded the meeting.
