Bhubaneswar: A state-level event titled ‘Matsya-Prani Sammavesh Odisha-2025’ is set to be organized. In this context, a press conference was held on Wednesday at the auditorium of the Veterinary College.

During the press meet, Odisha’s Minister of Fisheries and Animal Resources, Gokulananda Mallik, participated and unveiled the event’s logo and mascot. The minister also shared detailed information about the event with the media.

He mentioned that this conclave will be a grand gathering aimed at ensuring the prosperity of fish farmers and livestock keepers. The event will highlight the steps being taken to make Odisha self-reliant in the production of milk, meat, eggs, and fish.

The conclave will be held from February 14 to 16 at Biju Patnaik Ground, Baramunda. The theme for the 2025 event is “Fisheries and Animal Husbandry: Livelihood and Ecological Balance.”

A total of 8,164 fish farmers and livestock keepers will participate, with 26 farmers from each block. Additionally, 4 successful farmers from each subdivision will be honored at the event.

Moreover, 24 outstanding officers who have made significant contributions to the department will be awarded. Winners of various competitions, such as debates and quizzes, organized as part of the conclave will also be felicitated.
