Kundura: The matriculation exam centers for two schools in the block have been changed. Previously, students from Lachhanaguda and Kalapada schools had to appear for their exams at the Bamuniput center in Jaypur block. This year, Lachhanaguda students will take their exams at Kaudia Guda, while Kalapada students will appear at the Digapur center. The schools have confirmed this information.
According to sources, earlier, students from Lachhanaguda and Kalapada schools had to travel more than 20 km to reach Bamuniput for their exams. This caused significant difficulties for students, parents, and teachers.
Each student had to spend over ₹3,000 on travel expenses. On February 13, 1014, during a grievance hearing in Kotpad block, complaints were lodged with the district collector. The SMC chairman, Ramakrishna Sabat, along with committee members and parents, submitted a written complaint. However, no action was taken at the time.
Later, parents and SMC members once again met with the district collector to raise their concerns. As a result, this year, the matriculation exam center has been relocated. Parents have expressed gratitude to the district administration for setting up the exam centers within their own block, ensuring convenience for students.
