Mathili Firing Day Observed: Tribute to Martyrs of 1942 Quit India Movement

Mathili, 21st Aug 2025:  On *21st August 1942, a great uprising took place on the soil of undivided Koraput, which came to be known as *“Mathili Firing Day.”** Inspired by the call of *“Do or Die,”* under the leadership of the brave revolutionary *Laxman Naik,* thousands of patriots shook the region with the slogan *“Quit India.”*
