Umarkote: A haystack kept for feeding cattle caught fire in Basini village under Semla Panchayat of Umarkote block, Nabarangpur district.
Upon receiving the information, fire department personnel, including fire officer Bhagirat Bania, firefighters Raghunandan Das, Dasharath Sahu, and Shankar Majhi, reached the spot. They worked tirelessly for hours to bring the fire under control.
Chaitanya Gand, expressing his grief, stated that they do not know how the fire started. The hay stored for feeding the cattle throughout the year was completely destroyed in the blaze.
