Kotpad, Jeypore Forest Division: A massive fire broke out in the Sandhagaon forest, located in the Nuagaon Panchayat under the Kotpad forest range. The Kotpad Fire Department successfully brought the blaze under control.
The fire was first spotted by a local youth, Babuli Pujari, who, along with some villagers, attempted to douse the flames and immediately informed the Kotpad Fire Department. Upon receiving the report, the fire department rushed to the site and worked for over two hours to extinguish the fire. Their quick response helped prevent further damage.
The efforts of Babuli Pujari and his team have been highly praised by the local community. However, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, and it is unclear whether it was accidental or deliberately set.
