Phulbani : The Kandhamal Baishakhi Festival and Trade Fair 2025 witnessed a massive turnout on Sunday, which marked the eighth day of the event. With favorable weather and a holiday, large crowds were seen attending the festival and fair.
The event featured Krupasindhu Behera, Principal of ITDA Baliguda, as the chief guest. Other distinguished guests included Subhashree Rath, Tehsildar of Khajuripada; Baladev Behera, Tehsildar of Harabhanga; Rashmita Karan, DCPO; and Ravindra Nath Panda, Joint Secretary of Vanabasi Seva Samiti and noted social worker.
Chief guest Krupasindhu Behera appreciated the successful and peaceful organization of such a large-scale event in the district. He extended congratulations to senior journalist and fair committee chairman Sunil Pattnaik, vice-chairman Radhamohan Mahapatra, and other committee members for their efforts.
Guests were warmly welcomed and felicitated with flower bouquets, gifts, and mementos by committee chairman Sunil Pattnaik, vice-chairman Radhamohan Mahapatra, deputy chairman Sujit Behera, treasurer Prasanna Kumar Swain, and members Ashok Mahanti, Shibani Suar, and Subhra Pattnaik.
All guests attended and encouraged the organizing team, for which the committee expressed deep gratitude. Due to good business opportunities at the fair, traders from within and outside the district expressed their satisfaction.
