Kolnara,22nd Aug 2025: A marigold plantation programme was organized at Barachampia village under Bankili Panchayat of Kolnara Block.
Kolnara BDO Reena Pradhan attended as the chief guest, planted marigold saplings, and inaugurated the programme.
Among the distinguished guests were Shankar Chalan, District Project Officer of Rayagada, and Varsha Priyadarshini Pradhan, BPM in charge of Odisha Livelihood Mission, Kolnara Block.
The programme also saw participation from MBKs, CRPs, Krishi Mitras, Pashu Mitras, and local women farmers, who collectively planted marigold saplings.
The BDO informed that this year, marigold cultivation has been targeted in over 120 acres of land across various panchayats of Kolnara Block
