Jeypore, 24th July 2025: Manoj Satyavan Mahajan, a senior IAS officer, has officially taken charge as the new District Collector of Koraput. He replaces V.Y. Keerthi Vasan, who has now been entrusted with the responsibilities of Ganjam district.
The transfer is part of a routine administrative reshuffle aimed at enhancing governance and development delivery across key districts of Odisha.
Mr. Mahajan is expected to focus on improving public service delivery, tribal welfare, education, and infrastructure in the Koraput region — a district known for its tribal diversity and unique developmental challenges.
Meanwhile, V.Y. Keerthi Vasan, during his tenure in Koraput, was widely appreciated for his work in healthcare, tribal outreach programs, and disaster preparedness.
