Maneswar, 25th Sept 2025: The Maneswar Durga Puja will celebrate its Golden Jubilee (50th year) this time with grand festivities. A budget of ₹40 lakhs has been allocated for this year’s celebration. Out of that, ₹2.5 lakhs is set aside specifically for the Ravana Dahan (Burning of Ravana effigy) event.
Skilled artisans from Puranakotak are crafting a 10-foot tall idol of Goddess Durga. The area and the entrance gate are being beautifully decorated with lighting and fabric designs. Priest Jagadish Das will perform the puja rituals. The main coordinator (Karta) for the puja will oversee the entire process.
