Malkangiri: The final selection process for the Sahani Cup Football Tournament has been completed at the District Sports Complex, organized by the District Athletic Association.
A total of 98 players from across the district participated in the selection trials, out of which 22 players were selected for the final team, while 4 were kept as reserves.
The selection committee was chaired by S. Prasad Mao, with Tokal Bichempa, Sujit Pradhan, and Subrata Mallick serving as members and evaluators. The sporting event was officiated by Satveer Singh as the referee.
Among the dignitaries present were District Sports Officer Ajay Mandangi, District Athletic Association General Secretary Ram Mahari Panda, and Joint Secretary Gopi Krishna Pattnaik. They advised the selected players to maintain discipline and deliver high-standard performance to bring pride to the district.
