Malkangiri: The State Union of Journalists (SUJ) Odisha, Malkangiri District Branch, celebrated World Press Freedom Day. On this occasion, prayers were held for journalists who lost their lives while performing their duties and for those who were victims of terrorist attacks. The event was organized under the chairmanship of M. Amaresh Kumar, President of the Malkangiri District Branch.
The event was attended by independent guest Ashok Mishra, President of Utkal Journalists’ Union, Malkangiri, and B. Srinivas Patra, General Secretary of Utkal Journalists’ Union, along with social worker Ghanashyam Madkami. Other notable attendees included SUJ General Secretary Banshi Muduli, Vice President Sarvokumar Bishoi, and others.
The event was also attended by SUJ Malkangiri District Branch Treasurer Sushant Mandal, Irma Sodi, and Bucha Madkami, among others, who observed and celebrated World Press Freedom Day.
