Nabarangpur, Jan, 07: At the Nabarangpur Stadium, the MP Sports Festival organized under the auspices of the district administration and the District Sports Association witnessed exciting competitions on the second day.
On this occasion, Prahallad Tripathy, Secretary of the Nabarangpur Sports Association, attended as the chief guest, while M. Bala Rao, Vice-President of the Sports Association, and Manoj Kumar Pattnaik, Joint Secretary, were present as guests of honor, encouraging the athletes. Among other guests were District Sports Officer Padmanabh Tripathy, Cricket Secretary Ashok Nayak, and Shubendu Behera, Vice-President of the Cricket Association.
In the competitions held on the second day:
- In the men’s Kho-Kho event, Kotpad Panchayat Samiti emerged champions after defeating the Kotpad Municipal Area.
- In the women’s Kho-Kho event, Jharigaon Block won the championship by defeating Kotpad Block.
- In the men’s Kabaddi competition, Malkangiri became champions by defeating Kotpad Block.
- In the women’s Kabaddi event, Kotpad Block won the title by defeating Nabarangpur Municipal Area.
- In the men’s Volleyball competition, Nabarangpur Panchayat Samiti emerged champions after defeating Nabarangpur Municipal Area.
- In the women’s Volleyball match, Kotpad Municipal Area secured victory by defeating Kotpad Block.
- Sports teachers from various schools of Nabarangpur district successfully conducted and managed the matches.
