Major Reshuffle: 17 Chief District Medical Officers Appointed in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: In Odisha, the posts of Chief District Medical Officers (CDMOs) in several districts had been lying vacant for a long time. There had been growing demands at various levels for immediate appointments. Responding to this, the State Government has appointed CDMOs in 17 districts today. Additionally, the CDMOs of 3 other districts have been transferred. The Health Department has released an official notification regarding these appointments.

Under the Odisha Medical and Health Services (OMHS), 24 doctors currently serving as Additional Directors have been promoted to the Senior Administrative Grade (SAG). Based on this, they have been appointed as CDMOs and to other important positions.

Pradeep Kumar Kr. Hota – CDMO, Sonepur

Mahesh Mohan Panda – CDMO, Jharsuguda

Manoranjan Raut – CDMO, Kendrapara

Rabindra Nath Mishra – CDMO, Koraput

Rajendra Panigrahi – CDMO, Jagatsinghpur

Gauri Shankar Bala – CDMO, Angul

Sushanta Nayak – CDMO, Ganjam

Kuber Chandra Mahanta – CDMO, Bargarh

Binod Bihari Mishra – CDMO, Keonjhar

Bijay Mishra – CDMO, Jajpur

Akshay Kumar Satpathy – CDMO, Puri

Sanjay Kumar Mahapatra – CDMO, Dhenkanal

Kishore Kumar Acharya – CDMO, Mayurbhanj

Sanjay Chandra Ray – CDMO, Khurda

Suresh Chandra Mahanti – CDMO, Sundargarh

V. Sarojini Devi – CDMO, Rayagada

Dolamani Pradhan – CDMO, Malkangiri

In addition:

Gyanabrata Mahanti and Madan Mohan Pradhan have been posted to the State Health Directorate

Bishnu Prasad Mahapatra has been appointed at Swasthya Bhawan, Bhubaneswar

Transfers:

Pradeep Guru – Transferred as CDMO, Boudh

Kishore Kumar Prusty – Transferred as CDMO, Kalahandi

Prabhat Kumar Behera – Transferred as CDMO, Balasore

Further:

Sabyasachi Pattnaik has been transferred to Capital Hospital

Barada Kanta Mishra has been moved to the State Health Directorate

It is worth noting that the Health Department recently appointed directors to previously vacant posts at the State Health Directorate.
