Puri:6th Nov 2025: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Administrator of the Shri Jagannath Temple to organize the upcoming Panchuka in a structured manner. Several important decisions were made during the meeting. Considering the large gathering of devotees during Panchuka, it has been decided that sevayats (temple servitors) will guide the devotees to enter the temple only through the Singhadwara (Lion Gate).
Since this year Panchuka falls for four days instead of the usual five, devotees will enter through the Singhadwara only in a structured manner for darshan (holy viewing). After darshan, arrangements have been made for exit through the other three gates. During Panchuka, it was also decided in the meeting that sevayats will distribute Mahaprasad to devotees free of cost.
While discussing the darshan arrangements with the sevayats, it was noted that on Kartika Purnima (full moon of Kartika), Taraka Darsan will not be held. For the first three days of Panchuka, devotees will have darshan from outside the temple premises. Considering the convenience of devotees, all kinds of services will be provided to ensure smooth darshan.
Additionally, during Panchuka, temple management policies will be implemented, and members of the administration committee, along with other administrative officials, will be present inside the temple. For the convenience of devotees, barricades will be set up at the main queue line, and emergency services, including first aid and medical centers, will also be operational, as informed by the Chief Administrator of Shri Jagannath Temple.
