Jharsuguda March, 11: International Women’s Day was celebrated at the community centre located in Sripura Panchayat under Jharsuguda block by the Magic Bus – Saksham Lakshya & I-Skill Centre.
The programme was organized with the support of Epsilon Carbon. Local women Self-Help Groups (SHGs), young professionals, and community members participated in the event, with a total of 904 attendees.
The main attraction of the programme was 13 live stalls set up by women entrepreneurs and trainees from Sripura Panchayat. Additionally, with the support of Epsilon Carbon, a free eye check-up camp was also organized.
On this occasion, Mrs. Sasmita Bhoi, DPM; Oil Doctor Dr. Pushpashree Nayak; ORMAS Deputy CEO Yubaraj Sahu; DMK Tushar Kanta Mahant; DEO Amit Kumar; and Mrs. Minati Patra, among others, attended and shared their views on women’s empowerment.
Senior officials of Epsilon Carbon, Dr. Dayananda Avasthi and Mr. Madan Das, were also present and encouraged the trainees.
In the concluding part of the programme, women from Sripura and Kherual villages presented a drama and participated in a tug-of-war competition.
