Jharigaon – The inauguration festival of the newly constructed Maa Thakurani Temple in Kolegāon village under Jharigaon Block began today. The three-day temple celebration commenced with a grand procession on the first day. Devotees from various regions participated, bringing symbolic idols of deities, palanquins, sacred offerings, flowers, priests, drums, and traditional musical instruments.
The procession circled the village and finally reached the newly constructed Maa Thakurani Temple, where rituals were performed as per tradition. The program included Kalash Yatra (sacred pot procession), lamp offerings, and Prana Pratistha (infusing life into the idol) ceremonies.
On the second day, events such as child offerings, mass prasad distribution, Devi puja, and Anna Bhog (community feast) were conducted. The final day featured various cultural programs, as informed by the organizing committee.
Eminent saints and spiritual leaders such as Brahma Avadhuta Indramani Baba, Brahma Avadhuta Dambarudhara Baba, Brahma Avadhuta Ramachandra Baba, Sadhu Prakash Das, Yadu Das, Rushikesh Das, Damu Das, Bharat Das, Gajanan Das, Narsingh Das, Gupta Bairagi, Lakhya Bairagi, Pinku Bairagi, Giridhar Bairagi, Bhikhari Bairagi, Prafulla Gautia, Arjun Gautia, Karna Gautia, Ghana Pujari, Banamali Pujari, and Prallad Ganda participated in and supported the rituals.
From the Puja Committee, key organizers such as Nirakar Ganda, Kamalu Bagh, Madhab Ganda, Bikash Ganda, Trinath Dhurua, and Yudhua Majhi efficiently conducted the event.
